Dr James Colcombe holds a masters degree in dental implantology after completing three years of study at the University of Bristol. James prides himself on providing the highest quality of care possible using the best materials and equipment, combined with advanced training and experience, and working with a team that shares high standards.
James qualified as a dentist from Cardiff University in 2008, and since then he has worked in many settings to broaden his knowledge and experience. These have included working in NHS and private clinical dentistry, emergency and community dentistry, and also spending two years as a senior house officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at the Royal Gwent Hospital (Newport).
James can provide treatment with sedation or general anaesthetic as necessary for nervous patients.

For patients enquiring about implant treatment via this website, Dr Colcombe offers a free preliminary consultation. This appointment does not include a clinical examination and it only takes 15 minutes. Please use the button in the right hand column to request an appointment.
Clinical Consultation
Once you have decided in principle that you want implant treatment, the next step is a clinical consultation. This includes a comprehensive oral examination and production of a fully-costed individual plan for your treatment. The fee for the clinical assessment and treatment plan is £130, including X-rays. Should CBCT scans be required, you will be referred to a specialist centre, there will be a separate fee for this scan.
