Mark Haswell joined Stradbrook Dental Surgery in 1990 and began carrying out implant-based treatment in 1991. He was one of the first UK dentists to undertake an MSc in Implant Dentistry, and qualified in 1998 with the Branemark prize from the Eastman Dental Institute. He now teaches on a number of programmes at the Eastman and teaches both nationally and internationally for various implant companies. He also runs in-house courses for referring practitioners. He has placed over 4000 implants to date and the practice places over 600 implants a year.

Implant case referral policies, procedures and administration
We accept referrals from GDPs and self-referrals from patients. We offer surgery-only or surgical and restorative implant treatments for both simple and complex cases providing both patient and referring dentist with a written treatment plan. We use a digital xray system, and return all patients to referring GDP.
General dental practitioners are encouraged to undertake the restoration phase of the implant treatment for their own patients in straightforward referred cases. FREE training in the restoration of simple dental implant cases is available.
